•    SLC Passed with compulsory Math, Science & English or TSLC in Lab Technology with minimum 67%.
•    Physically and mentally fit
•    Must Pass the Entrance Examination conducted by CTEVT

कार्यक्रमका उद्देश्यहरू

चिकित्सा प्रयोगशाला टेक्नोलोजी (सीएमएलटी) कार्यक्रमको उद्देश्य देशका लागि आवश्यक उच्च स्तरीय स्वास्थ्य सेवाहरू प्रदान गर्न आवश्यक योग्य र उन्नत ज्ञान र व्यावहारिक सीप उत्पादन गर्नु हो। (The objective of the Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) program is to produce qualified and advanced knowledge and practical skills required to provide high quality health services to the country.)
 
टेक्निसियन बनाउन जुन क्लिनिकल ल्याबमा स्वतन्त्र रूपमा काम गर्न सक्षम हुनेछ। (To create a technician who will be able to work independently in the clinical lab.)

मेडिकल ल्याब टेक्नोलोजिस्टहरूलाई विशेष प्रयोगशाला अनुसन्धान गर्न सहयोग पुर्‍याउन गरेको छ। (To assist medical lab technologists in conducting specialized laboratory research.)

स्नातक डिग्री (BMLT) मा थप शैक्षिक क्यारियरको अनुसरण गर्न गरेको छ। (Bachelor's degree (BMLT) is to pursue a further academic career.)

मेडिकल ल्याब टेक्नीसियनको स्कोप
पाठ्यक्रम पूरा गरेपछि व्यक्ति नेपाल स्वास्थ्य व्यावसायिक परिषद (एनएचपीसी) मा "बी" ग्रेडमा दर्ताका लागि योग्य उम्मेद्वार हुनेछन् जसले तिनीहरूलाई अस्पताल र क्लिनिकल ल्याबमा प्रयोगशाला टेक्नीशियनको रूपमा काम गर्न अनुमति दिन्छ। प्रयोगशाला प्राविधिकहरूको मुख्य क्षेत्र र कार्य क्षेत्र हो। (Upon completion of the course, the person will be a qualified candidate for registration in "B" grade in Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) which will allow them to work as laboratory technicians in hospitals and clinical labs. Laboratory is the main field and work area of technicians.)

CMLT हाल नेपालको सन्दर्भमा सरकारी क्षेत्र मा निकै माग हुने क्षेत्र को रुपमा आउने गर्दछ। नेपालमा ७५३ स्थानिया निकाएहरु भएको हुदा ल्याब टेक्नीसियन को दरबन्दी सोहि अनुसार भएको हुदा यो क्षेत्रको आबसेकता उतिकै छ। (CMLT is currently the most sought-after sector in the government sector in Nepal. As there are 753 local bodies in Nepal, the posts of lab technicians are the same.)

मेडिकल ल्याब टेक्नीसियन हाल  लुम्बीनी परदेशको सन्दर्भमा यो बिषयमा शिक्षा हासिल गरेको दक्ष्य जनसक्ति कम मात्र मा भएको हुदा यो कार्यक्रम आफैमा एउटा महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रम हो । (This program is an important program in itself as the medical lab technicians are currently trained in this field in the context of Lumbini provinces.)
